Holy Union Sister Irene Brochu, 69, of Taunton, Mass., died January 22. She was born in Central Falls, and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Alice (Savard) Brochu. She entered the Holy Union Sisters in 1975, and ministered in pastoral ministry in the Archdiocese of Boston and the Diocese of Fall River. She was the sister of Raymond Brochu of Central Falls, Doris Brochu of Lincoln and Diane Riendeau of Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated January 25 in St. Jude the Apostle Church, Taunton. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery, Taunton.
