Saint Raphael Academy Students Earn Perfect Scores on College Board Exams

Posted

Bishop Thomas J. Tobin meets with four Saint Raphael students from the Class of 2015 who achieved perfect scores on their SAT and ACT exams. This represents nearly five percent of SRA’s senior class, and their scores rank them well above the average scores of the over 1 million college-bound seniors across the country who took the SAT/ACT exam. With Bishop Tobin from left are two international students who are studying at Saint Raphael Academy in Pawtucket.

At far left, Ruiyi “Zoe” Bai received a perfect score of 800 on the math section of the SAT. She aspires to attend Tulane University, University of California - Irvine, Clarke University, Fordham University or Boston University. Second from left, Minghao “Andy” Li scored 800 on the math section both times that he took the SAT. He has applied to Princeton University, Harvard University, Brown University, Carnegie Mellon University, Stamford University, and Columbia University. Also earning perfect scores are Auston Gillis, third student from left, who scored 36 in the Science ACT exam, and has applied to Yale University, Harvard University, Brown University, Cornell University and Dartmouth College, among other schools. At far right, Ryan Goyette, who earned an 800 on the English portion of the SAT, has applied to St. John’s University, Brown University and Harvard University. Bishop Tobin commended the students for their achievements, noting that their success can have a very tangible benefit for all the faithful. “By sharing our gifts and talents that’s how we build up the Church,” the bishop said. “We are extremely proud of the wonderful academic performance of our four seniors. It is a great reflection of the academic instruction from their teachers,” said Saint Raphael Principal Dan Richard.
