Royals separated from the true church

Posted

TO THE EDITOR:

In your editorial about the Royal wedding you call to abolish the Act of Settlement to allow Catholics their rightful place in British society.

This rule bars members of the Royal family from marrying Catholics. We agree that this law creates second-class citizens. Where we disagree is just who those second-class citizens are. You put forth that the Catholics are. I say that the Royals are. They are the ones separated from the one true church and cannot marry a Catholic. They lose on both counts.
