TO?THE?EDITOR:
So happy to read the editorial in the recent R.I. Catholic that states the position of the Catholic Church explicitly with regards to capital punishment. Christ was for repentance, not revenge.
I feel strongly about the Consistent Life Ethic and believe life is sacred and deserves to be protected. For those that have questions about the position of the Catholic Church regarding capital punishment, your editorial made the position emphatically clear. Abolishing capital punishment has always been a goal of Catholic Social Justice.
