TO THE EDITOR:
I passionately believe the breakdown of the family unit is the single deepest ethical and moral challenge of our generation. Whether we respond to [this challenge] will depend on the resolve and willingness of all of us to commit ourselves to the care and protection of family life.
The time for repairing endangered families and rescuing their children is not after they have fallen apart! The question then is —how? How can each of us make a difference in repairing the American family? How can we begin to make the difference now? Communicating your values has never been more important than it is today. The good news is, it all begins and ends with you. When all is said and done, it is all up to us as individuals who have far more influence over instilling values in today’s generation than any other factor.
