Dave’s voluntarily applied for a Rhode Island corporate tax credit in 2015 and designated FACE of RI as its chosen Scholarship Granting Organization. The Rhode Island Tuition Tax Credit program is designed to support private education by utilizing tax credits to benefit business entities, while supporting a scholarship organization which in turn provides financial assistance to private education. The tax credit was implemented in 2007 in order to give businesses an opportunity to support private education and receive up to a 90 percent tax credit. William Hogan, CEO of Dave’s, was unable to attend the meeting, but plans to visit Bishop McVinney school in the near future.
