Ashlynne Messier, a parishioner of St. Thomas More Parish in Narragansett, and her boyfriend Richard McDonald, shined a light on a special pro-life message in a very creative way. Recently, during her family’s annual pumpkin carving contest, the couple displayed an image of a baby in a mother’s womb, with the cord connected to a heart. Each year, the U.S. Catholic Church observes October as Respect Life Month, which calls Catholics to defend and protect those who are most vulnerable.
