LETTER TO THE EDITOR

McVinney Auditorium was perfect venue to honor Providence Police

TO THE EDITOR:

This past May, the Providence Police Department held our Commendation Awards Ceremony at Bishop McVinney Auditorium. In planning this important event we were seeking a first rate venue. The staff, led by Christopher Donovan, was courteous going above and beyond to accommodate us. The auditorium is beautiful, bright and clean, just what we were looking for to welcome the friends and families of our officers that we were honoring.

Christopher met with us prior to our event and evaluated our need and provided audio and visual technical support to make the ceremony a professional top notch event. Many in attendance, including the Mayor, City Council and other city and state dignitaries, complimented the venue and the program that was supported by the auditorium staff. In the days following the ceremony several members of our department approached and said what a nice evening it was and how it was enjoyed by all of those in attendance.

We appreciated the attention given to us and the immaculate facility at Bishop McVinney Auditorium. With its close proximity to the Public Safety Complex we look forward to hosting events there for years to come.
