Mary Lou Lapierre

OAKLAND, R.I. — Mary Lou (Kenneally) Lapierre of Oakland, R.I., passed away suddenly on November 30, 2015 at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket.

She is the wife of Deacon Richard Lapierre of Our Lady of Good Help and St. Theresa’s parishes in Burrillville. In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline Casale and Aimee Miller and her grandchildren Jenna, Haley, McKenzee and Daniel. She is also survived by her sister Margaret Balcom of Pearland, Texas and her brother Robert Kenneally of Pinellas Park, Fla.

She was born in Boston in 1948, the daughter of Joseph Kenneally and Margaret Cote. She lived in Massachusetts as a child and relocated to Narragansett, as a teenager. She graduated from South Kingstown High School and worked at the University of RI and Ladd School prior to her marriage. On December 8th she would have celebrated her 42nd wedding anniversary to Deacon Lapierre.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for the repose of her soul on Saturday, Dec. 5 at Our Lady of Good Help Church, followed by burial in St. Theresa’s Cemetery.
