Marie-Berthe Tanguay

WEST WARWICK —?Marie-Berthe “Marie” (Brousseau) Tanguay, the wife of Deacon Paul A. Tanguay, assigned to the diocesan Apostolate for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, died August 24.

Born in Magog, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Marie Rose (Charland) Brousseau. She was a former teacher in Pawtucket, and also taught and served as a principal in the Diocese of Providence. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, West Warwick.

She was the mother of Michelle Tetreault, Lisa Emery, Renee Doran, Marcelle Lanctot, Master Sgt. Paul A. Tanguay II, Raymond M. Tanguay, Guy R. Tanguay and Nicole Broadmeadow; and sister of Marguerite Paredes.

A?Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated August 30 in St. Joseph Church. Burial was in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
