BLACK CATHOLIC HISTORY MONTH

Local parishes celebrate, serve Black Catholics throughout diocese

Posted:

PROVIDENCE — The Office of Black Catholic Ministry in the Diocese of Providence continues its work of building a solid foundation for leadership with the diaspora of Black Catholics throughout Rhode Island by reaching out to inform, educate and share their rich spiritual heritage with the whole church.

During Black Catholic History Month and throughout the year, the diocese continues to celebrate this unique cultural diversity as members of the Catholic Church through evangelization and all parishes throughout the state work together to welcome diverse communities in offering them a spiritual home.

If you are a parish or an individual who would like to become more involved with the Office of Black Catholic Ministry, or for more information, please contact Patty January, coordinator, at 401-278-4552 or pjanuary@dioceseofprovidence.org.
