Knights of Columbus fighting for good both at home and abroad

Posted

Since 2014, the Knights of Columbus have given more than $20 million in aid to persecuted Christians in Iraq and Syria — brothers and sisters in Christ who have lost their homes, their possessions and their churches because of war and terrorism. The Knights have provided food, clothing, shelter and medical assistance to these faithful and courageous followers of Christ, who have endured great torment and suffering simply because they refused to renounce their faith in Jesus.

But the Knights also do great charitable works here in our own diocese, assisting local parishes in their fundraising efforts, capital improvement projects and pro-life activities — among other things!

If you’re a Catholic man who loves God and wants to put his faith into action for the betterment of others, consider becoming a Knight. To find the location of the council nearest you, visit the Rhode Island Knights’ web site, or ask your pastor.

And don’t be surprised to discover that he’s a Knight himself!
