Bishop Hendricken made Rhode Island high school football history with its 45-34 Division I Super Bowl victory over Cranston East on December 8.

Senior running back Remington Blue, who scored four touchdowns, earned Super Bowl Most Valuable Player honors for the second consecutive year. Junior Lee Moses returned a kickoff for a touchdown and also scored a rushing touchdown. Hendricken’s four straight football titles join the Hawks’ cross country team’s six straight state titles and the swim team’s 24 consecutive state championships as sports highlights for the school community. The victory made Coach Keith Croft’s Hawks the first R.I. Interscholastic League program to win four consecutive Super Bowls in the same division since the RIIL began Super Bowl play in 1972.
