(WOONSOCKET, R.I.)-Under a rainbow covered sky graduation ceremonies for the Good Shepherd Catholic Regional School Class of 2013 were held at St. Joseph Church, 1200 Mendon Road, Woonsocket.
The evening began with a concelebrated Mass with Rev. Michael Woolley, pastor, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Maurice Brindamour, pastor of Our lady Queen of Martyrs Parish; Rev. Dennis Reardon, pastor of All Saints Parish, Woonsocket, Rev. Marcin Mioduszewski, and Seminarians, Brian Morris and Nick Fleming.
Student Mass readers were Lindsey Cunanan, Jessica Paquette, Kaylin LaBreche, Jarod Tessier, Gregory Lynch, and Kaylie Perrico. Offertory gifts were presented by Marisa Bouley and Paige Thibodeau.
Good Shepherd Student Council member Julia Champagne presented the welcoming address to the assembly. Music was provided by the 45-voice Good Shepherd Student Choir under the direction of Celeste Chudy.
Principal Larry Poitras delivered the opening remarks at the Graduation Exercises held after the liturgy. Paula Hurteau, administrator of the Greater Woonsocket Catholic Regional School System offered the graduates best wishes and a successful high school experience.
William Fontaine of Woonsocket presented the Salutatorian Address, and Ngan Kim Le, of Woonsocket, presented the Valedictorian Address. Rounding out the TOP 5 Students of the Class of 2013 are Sarah Bessette, Andrea Lundquist and Jessica Paquette, all Woonsocket residents.
Lastly, the 2013 Good Shepherd Students of the Year, Julia Champagne and Jarod Tessier, both of Woonsocket.
Good Shepherd enrolls students from the Greater Woonsocket area, including Cumberland, North Smithfield, Bellingham and Blackstone, in grades 3-8 and is located at 1210 Mendon Road, Woonsocket.
