TO THE EDITOR:
As Christ the King Parish continues to warmly welcome Father Jared Costanza as our new pastor, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to Father Joe Creedon for his extraordinary leadership at Christ the King for over thirty years.
It is not an exaggeration to say he is the Wayne Gretsky of homilists — always beautifully integrating the Gospel message with stories of everyday people. His leadership on the importance of stewardship helped to ensure that our faith community puts the elements of stewardship — time, talent and treasure into action year after year. I have no doubt that Father Creedon will be sharing his talents around the diocese and around the country through his writing, speaking and service — those who meet Father Creedon during this new chapter of his life are indeed fortunate.
