BRISTOL — Columban Father Fintan Keegan, 98, died November 5 at Silver Creek Nursing Home, Bristol. He had resided for the past 15 years at the Columban Retirement House on Bristol Ferry Road, and was the longest-living member of the Columban Mission Society.

Born in Ireland, he joined the Columban Fathers in 1927 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1933. After ordination, he was assigned to the United States, where he held many posts for almost 60 years in seminary training and administration.

Father Keegan was predeceased by his two sisters, Winifred Hegarty and Christine Doyle. He is survived by several nephews and nieces.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated November 8 in St. Columban Chapel. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery, Bristol.
