LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Don’t forget the village is named Georgiaville

To the Editor:

I just got through reading this week’s Rhode Island Catholic paper, (issue of May 15), and on page 7 there is an article and pictures of St. Michael’s Pentecost Confirmation. The [caption] next to the picture reads "St. Michael’s Parish in Smithfield." St. Michael Church is in the village of Georgiaville. It seems as though the Rhode Island Catholic is trying to lose St.Michael’s village name of Georgiaville.

I was baptized there, made my First Communion and confirmation there, and was married there, plus four of my children were baptized there and it was always Georgiaville, but in the town of Smithfield.

Please don't let St Michael’s lose its home village name.
