This past summer, Father Christopher Murphy, rector of the Seminary of Our Lady of Providence, received a call from Bob Chase, member of the Knights of Columbus Council at St. Augustine’s Parish. Chase shared that he walks by the seminary each morning and noticed that the railings in front of the St. Joseph House were rusting and needed repainting. He offered to bring a team of Knights by in the fall, when the weather got cooler, to complete the job. On Saturday, Sept. 21, Chase and several members came to the seminary and spent hours sanding, priming and repainting the railings. “The Knights did a fantastic job,” said Father Murphy.
