PROVIDENCE – Local NBC -10 WJAR will broadcast a Christmas Day Mass celebrated by the Most Rev. Robert E. Mulvee, Bishop Emeritus of Providence at 12 p.m. on Christmas Day. The Mass will also air on Cox High-Definition Channel 700.
The liturgy was celebrated at St. Margaret’s Church in East Providence. Msgr. William J. McCaffrey, pastor, and Msgr. Paul D. Theroux, vicar general for the diocese, concelebrated the Mass.
The children and adult parish choir provided the music for the celebration under the direction of Ronald Procopio, music minister for the parish.
The Diocese is grateful to Channel 10 for producing the Christmas Day Mass that enables the homebound and others the opportunity to share in this special liturgy.
