The Respect Life Office buses will be making the annual journey to Washington, D.C. for the 2008 March for Life.
Buses will depart from various locations throughout the diocese on January 21, 2008 at approximately 8:30 p.m., and will proceed directly to the Verizon Center to participate in the Rally for Life and Youth Mass on Tuesday, January 22.
The Rally will feature recording artists Steve Angrisano, Matt Maher, and Val Limar Jansen. Archbishop Donald Wuerl, along with many priests, bishops and cardinals from across the country will celebrate the Youth Mass. The Rally for Life and Youth Mass attract thousands of youth and adults.
There are two itinerary options available with sufficient adult chaperones for youth passengers. One option is to join more than 150,000 “friends of life” on the National Mall for the noon-time National Rally for Life and the March for Life.
The other option is to go directly to our nation’s Capitol to visit the offices of our Rhode Island senators and congressmen. It will offer an opportunity to talk to our national legislators and members of their staffs. Tips that will help with these meetings and background information on critical life issues will be provided by the Respect Life Office.
