Catholic School Students Perform Music of Christmas

The Office of Communications of the Diocese of Providence announces special holiday programs, “Music of Christmas,” that feature several Catholic schools performing favorite Christmas songs that will air on cable television the last two weeks in December.

The Catholic schools that participated are from St. Mary Academy - Bay View, East Providence; Good Shepherd Catholic Regional School, Woonsocket; St. Mary, Cranston and St. Thomas in Providence.

The students performed “The First Noel,” “God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman,” “We Wish you a Merry Christmas” and many more.

The special holiday programs will air on Cox Channel 14, Verizon 33 and Full Channel 14 on the following dates and times: Sunday, Dec. 17, 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m.; Monday, Dec. 18 – 9 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 9 p.m., 9:30 p.m.; Tuesdays, Dec. 19 & Dec. 26 – 9 a.m., 9 p.m.; Wednesdays, Dec. 20 & Dec. 27, 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.; Thursdays, Dec. 21 & Dec. 28 – 9 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10 a.m.; Fridays, Dec. 22 & 29 – 9 a.m., 9 p.m., 9:30 p.m.

The diocesan Office of Communications produced the programs with partial funding from the annual Catholic Communication Campaign collection.
