The Most Rev. Victor Masalles, Bishop of the Diocese of Barí, in the Dominican Republic, visited the Diocese of Providence for the celebrations of Our Lady of Altagracia, a devotion from the Dominican Republic. During his four-day visit, he met with Bishop Thomas J. Tobin, and celebrated the Virgin of Altagracia feasts at the Cathedral, St. Michael’s Church, St. Patrick’s Church and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish. Bishop Masalles also facilitated a gathering with Spanish-speaking youth and young adults.
