EAST PROVIDENCE —The Sacred Heart School Band performed a spring concert at Sacred Heart Church, 100 Taunton Ave., on May 27. The concert featured 35 young instrumentalists in grades 3-8, under the direction of Philip Desrosiers. Proceeds from the program go to benefit the school’s music program.

EAST PROVIDENCE—Philip Desrosiers, director of the Sacred Heart School band explained that the band program is in dire need of donated band instruments. He added that many students want to play but cannot afford to rent or buy an instrument.
