Back to School Greetings

With perfectly pressed uniforms and eager smiles, plus a few groggy yawns, students of St. Kevin School in Warwick hug and kiss their loved ones goodbye on August 27 before beginning the first day of the academic school year.

Parish Pastor Father Robert Marciano and Principal Roger Parent, along with teachers and staff, welcome children and families in the schoolyard. While Parent notes that school enrollment is up nearly nine percent when compared to last year, Father Marciano also says the school is flourishing, as they recently added a new playground, vegetable and flower garden, as well as several staffers. “We’re very excited for another terrific year,” Father Marciano says. “Our faculty is so outstanding and dedicated, and we have a lot of good stuff planned.” Just as students are entering the building, pre-kindergartner Trevor Kurzback, 4, spots a friend.
