On Sunday, in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish’s 100th anniversary, Mass was celebrated by Bishop Thomas J. Tobin, along with Pastor Father Henry Zinno Jr.; Father James Verdelotti; Father Jonathan DeFelice, O.S.B.; Father James Quigley, O.P.; and Father Jeremy Rodrigues. Many filled the Bristol church to celebrate 100 years of faith.

Bishop Tobin offers thanks to Father Zinno for the wonderful work he does at the parish. The bishop added his sincere congratulations to parishioners and all who have made the parish what it is today.

“It’s an important day for all of you and your families,” he said. “The 100th anniversary is a very important milestone. What we celebrate today is not just the quantity of years, but we celebrate and thank God for the quality of your faith. We can reflect on the blessings of the past with enormous gratitude and praise to almighty God. We remember prayerfully all those who have served in the parish, all those who have come together over the 100 years to make the parish the special place that it is today.”
