To the Editor:
On behalf of Mercy Sister Mary Higgins, Father Bernard Lavin and myself, I want to thank Brian Lowney for the series of articles that he wrote on bullying in the Rhode Island Catholic. The bullying seminar had a powerful impact on our students, parents and guests. His articles gave credence to this most important subject.
On our part, we have been applying the message to our students on a daily basis. The topic of bullying has become a priority on the minds of all of our students, and we have adopted a zero tolerance policy here at St. Jude’s.
I hope that the attention Brian brought to this matter enlightens all who read the series.
