Electing a Pope program at St. Jude Church

LINCOLN — St. Jude Church, 301 Front Street, will offer a free program “Electing a Pope,” on Sunday, March 10 at 3 p.m. in the parish hall. The video program is presented by Christopher Bellitto, Ph.D., a historian, widely published author, and media commentator who has appeared in The New York Times and on the History Channel. St. Patrick, St. Joseph Day Celebration at Blessed Sacrament

PROVIDENCE — Blessed Sacrament Church, 239 Regent Ave., will host the third annual St. Patrick’s and St. Joseph’s Day Celebration, on Sunday, March 24 from 3 - 7 p.m., in the church hall. Heart of Worship presents ‘Words of Eternal Life’

RIVERSIDE — A Heart of Worship event will be held on March 17 at 7:15 p.m. at St. Brendan Parish, 60 Turner Ave., in tandem with Relevant Radio’s One Year Celebration. Father Francis Hoffman, “Father Rocky,” of "Go Ask Your Father" fame, and executive director of Relevant Radio will be the main speaker at the event. St. Eugene Church to host Italian Festival

CHEPACHET — St. Eugene Church, 1251 Putnam Pike, will host an Italian Festival on Saturday, March 23 at 5:30 p.m. featuring salad, family style pasta, meatballs, sausage and peppers, eggplant and chicken parmesan, and more, plus assorted beverages, Italian cookies and coffee, along with music and raffles. St. Mary’s Church to hold Lenten Mission

WEST WARWICK — St Mary’s Lenten Mission will take place March 11 - 13 at 7 p.m. in the church, 70 Church St. The theme for this year’s mission is Jesus: Divine Servant & Lamb of Sacrifice. Father Douglas Spina, pastor, and Deacon John Silvia will serve as mission presenters. Monday, March 11 a Penance Service will be celebrated with the opportunity for individual confessions. On Tuesday, March 12 Deacon Silvia will preside over a Healing Service. On Wednesday, March 13 Father Spina will conclude the mission with the Celebration of Holy Mass. Penitents to offer Lenten program

PORTSMOUTH – The Confraternity of Penitents will sponsor a Lenten Day of Reflection, March 9, 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m., at Portsmouth Abbey School, Cory’s Lane. The program will include Mass, confession, Stations of the Cross, recitation of the rosary, two conferences and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. St. Mary to host “heart-wrenching” mission

BRISTOL — From March 11-14, St. Mary Church, 330 Wood St. will be host a four-night mission entitled "You'll Never Walk Alone." In addition to providing spiritual reflections, anointings, the Eucharist and music provided by Through Mary's Heart, each night will also feature personal testimony dealing with serious life situations. On Monday a father talks about a son's suicide; Tuesday a parent tells of the harrowing missions of his daughter who flies a medevac helicopter airlifting wounded and dying soldiers in Afghanistan; Wednesday, two women share their stories of having had abortions and now coming to the realization of their actions; and on Thursday a parishioner speaks about the day his life was saved, although the person who saved him tragically died. The mission starts at 7 p.m. each night.

St. Joseph mission presenter to explore ‘God’s Vision for Us’

WOONSOCKET — St. Joseph Church, 1200 Mendon Road. Woonsocket, will host a Lenten Mission on March 11, 13, and 14, beginning at 7 p.m. each evening. St Brigid’s Mass of Anointing

JOHNSTON—The Parish Nurses of St. Brigid’s Church, 1231 Plainfield St., Johnston, will sponsor their quarterly Mass of Anointing on Saturday, March 9 at 11 a.m. Anyone preparing for surgery, suffering from a chronic illness or experiencing spiritual or emotional pain, is invited to come and pray the church’s prayer for healing. Knight to host fish and chips dinner and Irish breakfast events

NORTH KINGSTOWN — The Knights of Columbus will hold a Fish and Chips Dinner at the Council Hall, 1265 Tower Hill Rd., on Friday, March 8, from 5:30 – 7 p.m. Fish, fried and baked, french fries, cole slaw, clam chowder, coffee and tea will be served. The Knights will also host an Irish Breakfast at the Council Hall, on Sunday, March 10, from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Scrambled Eggs, rashers (Irish bacon), bangers (Irish sausage), home fries, baked beans, hot and cold cereal, juice, coffee and tea will be served. St. Margaret Church to offer Lenten Mission Retreat

RUMFORD — St. Margaret Church, 1098 Pawtucket Ave., will hold a Lenten Mission Retreat in conjunction with the parish's 125th anniversary of its founding, led by Father Robert F.
