Holy Family Parish to hold Mass, healing service

PAWTUCKET – Holy Family Parish will hold a Mass and healing service, Dec. 18, 1:45 p.m., beginning with recitation of the rosary at 1:15 p.m., at St. Joseph Church, 195 Walcott St. Father Robert Perron will be the celebrant. Diocese to sponsor Respect Life bus trip

PROVIDENCE – The Office of Life and Family Ministry will sponsor a bus pilgrimage to Washington, D.C., to participate in the 30th Annual March for Life, Jan. 22-23, 2012. Participants will also attend the youth rally and Mass for Life sponsored by the Archdiocese of Washington. Busses will depart from various locations throughout Rhode Island on Jan. 22, 7:30 p.m., and will leave Washington following the march. Dinner to benefit Knights’ charities

NORTH KINGSTOWN – The Knights of Columbus, St. Francis Council No. 2011, 1265 Tower Hill Road, will hold an Italian dinner, Dec. 17, 5:30-7 p.m., in the council hall. St. William Church to sponsor La Salette trip

WARWICK – St. William Church, 200 Pettaconsett Ave., will sponsor a bus trip to the Festival of Lights at La Salette Shrine, Attleboro, Mass., Dec. 28, with a 5 p.m. departure from the church. St. Michael Church hosts Ukrainian Christmas concert

College displays ‘Christmas Room’

GREENVILLE – Mater Ecclesiae College, 60 Austin St., will offer its annual Christmas display, Dec. 18, 3-5 p.m.; Dec. 20, 7-9 p.m.; Dec. 28, 7-9 p.m.; and Jan 1, 2012, 3-5 p.m. The viewing will be accompanied by a concert from the Mater Ecclesiae College choir featuring traditional Christmas music. Providence College displays Spanish nativity exhibit

PROVIDENCE – The Center for Catholic and Dominican Studies in Aquinas Hall at Providence College, One Cunningham Square, is displaying a Spanish nativity exhibit through Dec. 19, Mon.-Thurs., 8:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m.; Fridays, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The exhibit is a large, continual crèche with dozens of figurines and other artistic creations. The crèche encompasses many key moments in the Christmas Story, including the Annunciation, the Journey to Bethlehem, and Herod and the Slaughter of the Innocents. For more information, call 865-2870.
