World Apostolate of Fatima to offer program, book signing
GREENVILLE – The Rhode Island division of the World Apostolate of Fatima will present Father Andrew Apostoli, a world renowned Fatima authority, Nov.4-5, at St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike. ‘Be Not Afraid’ ministry training
PROVIDENCE – “Be Not Afraid” is a program and a network of concerned clergy, parents and professionals who have individuals within their parish communities who have experienced a poor prenatal diagnosis (PPD). Training for this new ministry in the diocese will be provided through the Office of Life and Family Ministry. The first training session will be held on Friday, Nov. 4 from 1-2:30 p.m. for clergy only. The second session will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for laity. Both sessions will be held at the Diocese of Providence office building located at One Cathedral Square, Providence. The presenter is Sandy Buck of the “Be Not Afraid” ministry. She will help clergy learn ways to approach this delicate issue and peer ministers will learn how to understand and reach out to parents with sensitivity who are experiencing a PPD and help them to learn affirmations to encourage them to carry to full term.
