St. Mary’s hosting Clam Cake & Clam Chowder Dinner

WEST WARWICK — St. Mary's Church, 70 Church St., is hosting an All You Can Eat Clam Cake and Clam Chowder on Friday, May 29 from 4:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. in Father Gibson Church Hall. The meal includes complimentary beverage and dessert. Tickets are $11.00 for adults, $5 for children, kids 5 and under eat free. Tickets will be sold at the door on the day of the event. Saints John & Paul to hold ‘Grill the Priest’ event Coventry — Saints John & Paul Parish will host Grill the Priest, an entertaining opportunity to ask any questions about your faith, at the Parish Center on Friday June 12. The social event will begin with a light meal served at 6 p.m., followed by a panel discussion at 7 p.m. The program will provide attendees the opportunity to ask a panel of four priests any questions about Catholicism. Father Stephen Dandeneau will serve as moderator of the panel, which will include Father John Kiley, retired pastor and author of “The Quiet Corner,” which appears weekly in Rhode Island Catholic; Father Chris Mahar, rector, Our Lady of Providence Seminary; Father Chris Murphy, assistant vocations director, Diocese of Providence; Father Adam Young, pastor, St. Paul's Church, Cranston. Fatima statue to visit St. Thomas PROVIDENCE — The United Nations International Statue of Our Lady of Fatima will visit St. Thomas Church, Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence for a Holy Hour of Prayer on Thursday, May 28, 2015, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with rosary and Benediction, and on Friday May 29, 2015 from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. for children of St. Thomas School. Sacred Heart, East Providence to hold patronal feast EAST PROVIDENCE — Sacred Heart Church, 118 Taunton Ave., will hold a feast to honor their patron from June 12-14. On Friday, June 12, food and bazaar booths will be open from 6-10 p.m., with all other booths open from 8-10 p.m. On Saturday, following Mass at 5 p.m., all booths will be open from 6-10 p.m., with an auction scheduled for 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, coffee and malassadas will be available after all Masses. There will be a procession of the Blessed Sacrament and the statue of the Sacred Heart around the church neighborhood, concluding with Benediction in front of the church. All booth will be open from noon to 8 p.m., at which time the Grand Raffle drawings will take place. Music by a DJ will also be offered throughout the three-day event. St. Alexander to host 44th annual Italian Festival WARREN — St. Alexander Church will host its 44th annual Italian Festival on Friday, June 19 from 6 to 10 p.m., and Saturday, June 20, from 5 to 10 p.m. (Rain Date: Sunday, June 21 4 to 8 p.m.) on the parish grounds, 221 Main St. Home-cooked Italian food, such as meatballs, ziti, eggplant sandwiches and sausage and peppers, will be sold along with chowder, clam cakes, hot dogs, doughboys, strawberry shortcake, pastries, and other items. Holy Angels to host 17th annual Golf Tournament? BARRINGTON — Holy Angels Church will host the 17th Annual Golf Tournament on June 28 at Triggs Memorial Golf Course. The event will begin with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place, and a Texas barbecue dinner will be offered. The fee is $95, $25 for dinner only.
