Albert D. Ranallo Sr.

NORTH PROVIDENCE – Albert D. Ranallo Sr. died October 15. He was the husband of Eileen (Verdi) Ranallo and father of Father Albert D. Ranallo Jr., chaplain at Rhode Island Hospital and in residence at Blessed Sacrament Church, Providence.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Thomas and Jennie (Damiani) Ranallo. He was the owner of Albert Ranallo Plumbing and Heating, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Sons of Italy and the Master Plumbers Association.

He was an usher at St. Ann Church, Providence, and a past president of the St. Ann Holy Name Society. In 2011, he was honored for his many years of service and dedication to St. Ann Church at their annual fall parish reunion.

In addition to his wife and Father Ranallo, he is survived by three daughters, Lynne Ranallo, Donna Biondi and Maria Ruzzano; and two sisters, Marguerite Parrillo and Lillian Brosco. He was also the brother of the late Raymond, Thomas and Robert Ranallo, Esther Caldarone, Ann Grasso, Viola Chorney, Claire Killian, and Ellen Ranallo.

A Mass of Christian Burial was concelebrated Oct. 17 at St. Ann Church. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
