Eighth grade students from Bishop McVinney School assisted volunteers from the St. Vincent de Paul Ministry at St. Charles Borromeo Church on Tuesday to assemble more than 460 Thanksgiving baskets at the parish hall.
The Thanksgiving basket ministry, which started more than 20 years ago, gathers holiday food items from donors across the state and delivers them to needy families to be enjoyed in the home on Thanksgiving day. Students from San Miguel School also assisted with assembly of the baskets.
