St. Bartholomew pilgrimage

PROVIDENCE — The Respect Life Committee of St. Batholomew Parish, 297 Laurel Hill Ave., will sponsor a pilgrimage to the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy, Stockbridge, Mass., Sept. 9, 8 a.m.-7 p.m. The event will include the Sacrament of Reconciliation, recitation of the rosary, Eucharistic adoration, Mass, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and more. St. Lawrence centennial

CENTREDALE — St. Lawrence Church, 624 Woonasquatucket Ave., will celebrate its centennial with a gala dinner-dance, Sept. 15 at Lombardi’s 1025 Club, Johnston. Annual feast day

NASONVILLE —The Shrine of the Little Flower, located at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, Douglas Pike, will celebrate its annual feast, Aug. 19, rain or shine, beginning at 9 a.m. The event will include prayers at the holy stairs, 9 a.m.; Stations of the Cross, 9:45 a.m.; an outdoor living rosary, 10:30 a.m.; a concert during lunch, 11 a.m.; Mass and a procession, led by Father Gerard Caron, pastor of St. Theresa Church, 1:45 p.m.; recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, 3 p.m.; Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, 4 p.m. Priests are invited to concelebrate Mass. Pax Christi meeting

ATTLEBORO, Mass. — The National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette, 947 Park St., will host a meeting of Pax Christi, Aug. 21, 7:15 p.m., in the Reconciliation Chapel. La Salette Father John Sullivan, a former missionary in South America, will serve as moderator. The Pax Christi movement began in 1945, and was founded by a small group of French Catholics to pray for world peace. The Shrine church is wheelchair accessible. Knights’ chicken barbeque
