PROVIDENCE —The Holy Name Province, the largest group of Franciscan Friars ministering in the United States, has produced a first-ever DVD entitled “Holy Name Province: Love at Work.”
The DVD highlights various ministries performed by members of the Order of Friars Minor, who have enjoyed a long and active presence in the Diocese of Providence.
According to a press release announcing the production of the DVD, the Holy Name Province has more than 350 members serving from New England to Florida. The friars minister in 31 parishes in 10 states, as educators at St. Bonaventure University, St. Bonaventure, NY and Siena College, Loudonville, NY; in urban ministries; preaching and spiritual centers; direct service to the poor; and foreign missions.
