‘A Federal Hill Christmas’

PROVIDENCE — Holy Ghost Church, 472 Atwells Ave., will present a “A Federal Hill Christmas,” December 2, 4 p.m., in the church. The concert will feature Italian and American Christmas selections, and will include a performance by the Holy Ghost Church Concert Choir, under the direction of George J. Mancini. ‘Sounds of the Season’

PROVIDENCE — The Gregorian Concert Choir and Festival Orchestra, under the direction of Father Anthony Mancini, will perform a benefit concert, December 9, 3 p.m., in the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul, One Cathedral Square. All proceeds from the concert will benefit Bishop Thomas J. Tobin’s “Keep the Heat On” campaign. For tickets or for more information, call 331-2434.

World AIDS Day Mass

PROVIDENCE — The diocesan Office of Black Catholic Ministry, in conjunction with Holy Name of Jesus Church, 99 Camp St., will sponsor a World AIDS?Day Mass, December 1, 9 a.m., in the church. Following Mass, there will be a coffee hour and presentation in the parish hall, and a performance of “I Believe in Angels” by local children. Adult education classes

WARWICK — St, Francis Church, 596 Jefferson Blvd., will hold a series of Advent adult education classes on three consecutive Wednesdays beginning December 5, 7 p.m., in the new lower rectory meeting room. The topic will be “The Sermon on the Mount: Fellowship or Sonship?” The series will be presented by Father John A. Kiley, pastor. Adults interested in deepening their faith and understanding the Gospel message better and adults interested in receiving the sacrament of baptism, first Communion or confirmation are invited to attend. Christmas dinner-theater

EAST PROVIDENCE — St. Martha Church, 2595 Pawtucket Ave., will host a Christmas dinner-theater event, Dec. 1, 5:30 p.m.; and Dec. 2. 1:30 p.m. A Christmas musical, “Jesus is the Reason for the Season,” will be performed by parishioners.
